Southwest 8 Senior Services publishes a monthly paper called the Senior Courier, which has a distribution of nearly 10,000 copies per month. The Senior Courier is Southwest Iowas primary source of current information for seniors. The Courier is distributed in all eight of Southwest 8s service counties.
Funding for the services provided by Southwest 8 Senior Services, Inc. has generally come from the Older Americans Act as well as Iowa Elder Service funding. The need for services has exceeded the funding from these sources and Southwest 8 must look to other means of increasing our services.
