Hello, my name is Kareen Clifton and I am the Senior Courier Editor/Public Information Assistant. I have coordinated the Senior Courier since September 1989. Previous to that time, I was a senior center cook in Missouri Valley for four years and a volunteer county reporter for the Senior Courier. The Courier reaches approximately 10,000 homes in the eight counties of Southwest 8 Senior Services. It is mailed to 400 plus seniors in Iowa, the United States and even a few overseas. I am LaVerna Bonacci the nutritionist for Southwest 8 Senior Services and work part time. I am a Registered/Licensed Dietitain. I have been working for Southwest 8 for 3 years. I do home visits for our case management program, and work with the nutrition and menus for our congregate mean sites. I enjoy working with the seniors. |

Hello, I am Jacque Myre I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Southwest 8 Senior Services. I have 4 children, 7 grandchildren and my sister, Judi Elson. I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, dancing, gardening, boating and cooking. I have been employed here off and on for 8 years. My duties consist of securing & training volunteers for the Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP), Resident Advocate Program (RAC), Advocacy and the Transportation Program. I love working with Seniors because I am one.

transporter for the Senior Centers in Council Bluffs and Carter Lake. I also deliver the frozen meals to homebound clients in all 8 counties. My free time is spent fishing, hunting and flying. |
